We have tried reloading the operating system on a
particular machine 3 times now to fix this particular
problem.
We finally found the problem. After installing the
operating system, and then subsequently installing Adobe
Acrobat Reader (Tried version 5 and 6) the mouse click in
IE explorer for hyperlinks stops working. The mouse click
works fine until Acrobat is installed.
The symptoms are the following:
1.Clicking on any hyperlink does not work until you right
click and say open.
2.Clicking on on Windows Update from the Start menu does
not do anything. I have to go to the Microsoft Update
site.
3.I can click all day it just does not go anywhere.
This is extremely frustrating.
I have tried loading the operating system. Loading
Acrobat. Applying all service packs to IE and Windows
2000.
I have tried loading the operating system. Applying all
service packs to IE and Windows 2000 and then loading
Acrobat.
Nothing works. What is the problem?
Anyone?
Thanks,
Linda
