Just upgraded first from W98SE to XP Pro with no
difficulties. Then upgraded O2K to Office 2003. Outlook
2003 seems unable to install any add-ins. When I click an
add-in to install, it just returns me to the box
indicating installed add-ins. Same for com files. I am
trying to upgrade 4Team's excellent calendar sharing
product Calendars4Outlook. Cannot seem to reinstall
because Outlook 2003 does not seem to install Outlook Sync
add-in and the necessary dll in the com add-in.

try rerunning the addin's installation files and make sure you have the most
recent versions.

Thanks for the reply.

Tried re-installation and still no luck. In fact, in the
case of the 3rd-party add in which would not install,
developer had me check Windows XP registry. The add-in
value was set for 2, meaning Outlook had blocked
installation. He asked me to change value to 3, but value
would not hold in registry.

And problem remains after a detect-and-repair of Outlook.
Clicking on an add-in does not install the add-in but
just returns me to the screen with the check-boxes for
installed add-ins along with the button to install.
Basically, it is just a loop.
