I am the tech support person at a small law firm. I have
no formal training, just experience through use and
reading different Microsoft manuals and whitepapers. I
have been given the task of securing and monitoring our
network of 25 user computers and 4 network printers.
While installing SUS and reading other manuals, I have
noticed that Active Directory and group policies is used
in many tasks. I am interested in install an active
directory into our current network. Is this a task that
someone with limit training could deploy and administer,
or should we contact outside support? We currently are
running Windows Small Business Server 2000 using a simple
LAN to share files and printers through the server to 25
Windows XP Pro users. Thank you for your advice and
support.
