I'm having trouble with this, the comp is not picking up the second
hard drive so I can't format it and set it up for use. I don't even
know what is on the hard drive. I welcome all input.

That's not much to go on.

Did you set the jumpers properly?

Did you connect the data cable?

Did you connect the power cable (if any)? Can you hear the drive spin up?

What precisely do you mean when you say "the comp is not picking [it]
up?" Is it seen in the BIOS? Did you set the BIOS appropriately?

If the BIOS is aware of it, did you run fdisk?

Are you sure the drive is good? What sort of drive is it (e.g. MFM,
RLL, IDE, SCSI, SCA, etc.)? Are you connecting it to an appropriate
controller? Is the controller on the motherboard or a separate card?
Does it need drivers?
