Hi wondered if someone can help...?

Am trying to install a slave ATA hard disk on my computer
which has Windows XP Home and a Master 120GB Serial ATA
drive. On connecting the ATA to the IDE channel, power
connnected, with the jumpers set to slave, I set the BIOS
to "auto" for the primary controller but on boot up
Windows gave an error message stating it could not find
the Disk. I then out the secondary controller to Auto but
again the error came up...
Where am I going wrong?
Thanks

Hi,

Refer to your mobo manual for how to setup a SATA primary
and an ATA slave drives.
I would suggest you to set the jumper of your ATA drive
to auto detect and use a 40Pin 80 conductor flat ribbon
cable to connect the drive to the secondary IDE channel
if you only have one CD-rom.
