I have just installed a 2nd hard-drive.It shows up
on "system",but does not show up on "my computer".
So, I cant get to use it!
Some help please!!!

Go to START - PROGRAMS - ACCESSORIES - SYSTEM TOOLS - ADMINISTRATIVE TOOLS -
COMPUTER MANAGEMENT.. under the STORAGE heading, click on DISK MANAGEMENT..
you will see a drive that is not yet partitioned and/or formatted.. right
click on the drive, and select the appropriate action..

Good Luck

I have the same problem and have tried your fix, but when
going into START>PROGRAMS>ACCESSORIES>SYSTEM TOOLS, I
cant find Administrative tools, please can you help?

Go to control panel and put it in classic view.once youve
done that you should see administrative tools.
all the best

Hi, Matt!
1) Launch Windows Explorer.
2) Select the Configuration Panel "folder".
3) Select ADMINISTRATIVE TOOLS > COMPUTER MANAGEMENT > STORAGE > DISK
MANAGEMENT

Mike Hall you were spot on my friend!
Many Thanks for the time and effort to help me.
All the best.

Yo Joseph

I have set XP to look like 98.. I apolgize if you couldn't find Disk
Management too quickly.. within minutes of first loading XP, I changed to
classic look and took away all of the 'pretty' stuff.. it works for me, but
can lead to problems for those who have kept the XP look..

Glad that you found it anyway, and that your drive is now fully
operational..

Mike

For drives to appear on My computer, they MUST be partitioned and
formatted! See Disk management tool in Computer Management Admin tools
