When I boot up, the window installer autostarts and
causes quit a delay as I wait for it to stop after
clicking "cancel". Is there a setting I need to
disable? Thanks in advance for help.

What is the Windows Installer configuring? Have you tried just letting it
complete what it's trying to do? Or does this happen on every boot
regardless of you cancelling its progress or not?
