Peter Morris [Droopy eyes software]

Hi all

I added an installer project to my PPC solution. Part of the config was to
install an icon in the "Programs" list.

However, when the app is uninstalled this icon is not removed and as a
result when I reinstall the app I get a duplicate icon each time.

Is there something I am doing wrong?

I added a shortcut to "Programs Folder" in the install project.
 
Sorry, I was thinking "in the tray" not the Programs folder. Does the
uninstall say it succeeded? If you look at the shortcut with the desktop
file browser, is it marked read-only or something like that?

AHA!

It seems that the cause of the problem was the fact that I specified a
shortcut for "Programs" and for "Start menu". Both were ending up in
"Programs" with the 2nd being named "My app(2)". This (2) shortcut was not
being uninstalled (probably due to an unexpected name) and was as a result
causing (3), (4), etc each time I installed.
