When I try to install a program using the windows installer, I get this error message

Incorrect command line parameters
Windows Installer. V 2.00.2600.110

I have scanned my system for updates and have some up with no new updates needing to be installed. I keep my system very up to date so I don't know what would be wrong. Any help would be appreciated.

I downloaded this application but the program that I am trying to install isn't listed by the clean-up program. Any other suggestions? Also, I am running XP.
