I need to repair my installation. I boot from the CD but when it gets to the
Administrator's password, it stops and the C:\windows prompt appears when I
entered the password.

That's perfectly normal. You're entering the Recovery Console, which
is a command-line interface (CLI). Is this not what you intend?
