installed updates and now win 2000 won't boot. It keeps
restarting after the color starting windows 2000 screen.
Won't start in safemode either.
Should I run "repair installation" from boot disk?
Thanks in advance
.
Mark, yes, run the repair installation from your boot
disks. When the repair process asks if you want it to be
automatic or manual, I would suggest that you select
MANUAL and then hit enter to repair each file the repair
process finds as faulty. This has happened to me twice and
each time the repair process through the Emergency
Recovery Disk option has saved my butt. I wish I knew why
or what was going on with MS and their Updates. One last
thought, or observation on my part, you may have to run
the repair process more than once. On my particular
installation and (last night) I had to run the repair 5
times to get my server operational. Good luck and let me
know what happens. hbpd8@@@@@@@(remove the unnecessary @
