We'll need a lot more info than that. You mean, you created folders on your
desktop, and now can't open them? what happens when you try?

These folders were readily accessible under SP1. Now, when I click on them,
the entire desktop disappears for a few seconds, and then reappears ...my
folder never opens, and no error message is shown.

I have same problem. Only my also include IE and control panel won't open
and when I try to open them I get DrWatson Postmortem Debugger has
encountered a problem and needs to close. This all happen after installing
SP2.

I just finished installing Service Pack 2.

On restart the desktop appears momentarily then disappears. Norto
anti-virus pops up in separate window. When closed there is nothin
left on the desktop.

That includes all desktop icons, folders, trash, start/taskbar -- al
that appears is the wallpaper.

Can't seem to enter set-up on reboot to go to an earlie
configuration.

Thoughts?
