Thank you Brian for your information. The Next question is then how can I fix
the hung up problem. When I sent the error message that poped up to MS it
came back with the suggestion to go to the update site and when I did this it
came back with the answer that it is updated to the latest update, not much
help there is it ?

What type of account are you trying to set up and how have you configured
it? What is the EXACT text of the error and exactly when does it occur?

The Type of account is a personal Internet e-mail account (POP3/SMTP),
Incoming mail server is POP3, outhgoing mail server SMTP with Shawcable
Company.
The Configuration is a menu driven setup step by step input to Microsoft
Outlook mail setup program .

The EXACT text of error message is copied below, and is occuring randomly
any time just hang up asking me send the message and then closes itself.

Problem caused by Microsoft Office Outlook 2002: consider upgrading

The problem was caused by Microsoft Office Outlook 2002, which was created
by Microsoft Corporation. Microsoft Office Outlook 2002 is in its "Extended
Support" phase. This phase of support for Microsoft Office Outlook 2002 began
on July 11, 2006. Only security-related solutions are created by Microsoft
for this version of Microsoft Office.

Recommendation

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Consider upgrading to the latest version of Microsoft Office Outlook 2002 to
receive full support. Go online to learn how to upgrade.

We also recommend that you periodically go to the Office Update website.
This will help to ensure that your computer stays updated with the latest
updates to Microsoft Office.

On what OS are you running this? It appears that you are encountering a
known problem in Outlook 2002 but since it is no longer under active
support, you are being told it's a problem Microsoft won't be fixing. I've
got appliances like that as well. The parts needed to fix them are no
longer available so if they break, I'll need to replace them.
