Installed mozzila firefox and explorer stopped working. Windows 98 with the
latest ie I think ie6
 
Did the same for me...ditched FF. Why fix something that ain't broke.

May have done the same for you, but this is definitely not normal.
Something else with your PC is likely awry.
 
Nothing wrong with the PC I double checked. I also found FF slow by
comparison.
