When I go throught the steps of installing RAS/Routing (VPN Option) everything goes fine, Except the server is knocked out of the LAN. I cannot ping to other servers on the same subnet or ping to it.

Where do I start to look for the answer?

Hi Terry,

I'm assuming you are configuring the VPN using the wizard by choosing the
option "Remote access (dial-up or VPN)". If that's the case, the public
interface will have filters setup to allow only VPN traffic (by default). If
you are not able to access the LAN, it could be that you have chosen the
private NIC to be the public. Check to see if that is the case.

Thanks,

Do not use the VPN server option in the wizard. This wizard option
should only be used if the server is to be a VPN ONLY server. The wizard
sets filters to block all traffic which is not VPN traffic.

To enable VPN access on a machine use the remote access option or manual
config.

Yes I was using the wizard.

Does Public and Private NIC mean enabling the sharing option? Could you
direct me where to look for the information.
I have a dual NIC sytstem and used one as the VPN bit with the same results
