I just bought Office XP and I already have the ME version
on my computer. My question is whether or not I am going
to lose all of the documents that i have on there now
when I install the newer version, and if I am, is there a
way to save all of my work?
Thanks

I'm not familiar with the ME version of Office, there is an ME version of
Windows. You should not lose any documents just becuase you upgrade to a
newer version of Office. Depending on what version you are upgrading from,
the files may want to be upgraded the first time you open them. There may be
some adjustments that you need to make to some of them to keep them working
properly.

There is no ME version of Office. ME was a version of Windows, not of
Office. Recent versions of Office for Windows prior to Office XP include
Office 95, Office 97, and Office 2000.

No version of Office has ever deleted documents on installation. It is,
however, always wise to backup your data before a major upgrade. For that
matter, it's wise to backup your data regularly even if you're *not*
planning a major upgrade. CD writers and external hard disks make good
backup devices. Failing that, a Zip drive, while not as reliable, is
infinitely better than no backup at all.

I agree with Wayne that you will probably not have any problems when you
upgrade your version of Office. *However*, any files that, if lost, would
cause you problems should be backed up - to a CD if possible, in a zip file
saved to Drive C:\, etc.
