installation window xp

Dear Sir,
I have 1.7GH computer and when i install window xp after
copying file my computer stop responding and showing black
screen as system standby but it is hangs and there is no
way, but restart and then setup restart again. How can i
solve my problem

The minimum requirement for XP is 1.5Gh sounds like you

don't have a large enough HD. Check the XP requirements.
 
first you should make sure that all your hardware is on the Hardware
Compatibility list for XP. www.microsoft.com/hcl
