Installation process freezes

While trying to install XP onto a new system, already been formatted, XP freezes on the blue Windows Setup screen. When it first loads, a message saying "Press F6 to install SCSI or RAID..." (something along those lines) appears in the grey bar across the bottom of the screen. After that disappears, the comp just sits there on that blue screen.

I am pretty sure that the setup should continue from there on its own....

Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you
