Installation problems HELP!!!

Can anyone help

I have a Toshiba laptop running win xp

I have just purchased win 2000 professional and want to
install it in the laptop

1 - the CD states I cannot load it as the new software is
an older version of windows - setup functionality is
disabled

2 - I cannot uninstall the windows xp from add and remove
programs as it is not showing

3 - I cannot load a windows 98 start disc to fdisk the
hard drive and start over

Can anyone help please

You need to do a clean install with the W2K CD.

You'll lose all your data on the hard drive, so back up
anything you want to keep.
