I'm trying to figure out how to remove my windows 98
version from my computer. I have windows 98 and windows
XP on my computer. Both work well but I've decided to
keep XP and get rid of 98. How do I go about removing 98
without losing all of my installed programms.

Hi,

Boot to WinXP. Open Windows Explorer and delete the Win98 system folders.

Go to the Control Panel/System/Advanced tab, click on startup and recovery
settings. Click the edit button to open boot.ini in notepad. Remove the line
referencing the Win98 installation from the [operating systems]. Close
saving changes.
