I installed an A7N8X-X mb into a new box with 512 mb DDR3200 ram, AMD3000+
xp chip and a 40GB HD from my old box, which was working fine with Windows
xp Professional. On boot, the new box stops at "Verifying DMI Pool
data...". On bios setup harddrive seems to be recognized properly. What's
happening... what to do next?
Thx, JW

My first step would be to clear the CMOS. I cannot tell you how to do this
on that particular board, but it will be in the manual. It will involve
fitting a Jumper momentarily and perhaps removing the battery too.

Did you reinstall Windows or did you just swap board and
boot with the previous version? That would explain the
lockup on DMI Pool, cause it gets other hardware information
than it expects to find.
