installation package error message

I am using PowerPoint 2003. A while back, I downloaded something from the
Microsoft site, which I think was an add-in. Ever since then I have been
getting this error every time I open PowerPoint. I click on cancel, the
message pops up again. The computer and I repeat this cycle a couple more
times, and the message goes away until I want to use PowerPoint again.

While I don't care if it actually gets installed, I would like to stop the
error message from coming up. The exact message is:

"The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is
unavailable.

Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the
installation package 'ppttpwiz.msi' in the box below."

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Thank you. My problem is that I am working on a computer that was imaged 3
years ago by our IT department. I don't have access to the install discs. I
just want PowerPoint to quit trying to install this item.

Is there a way to just tell it to quit trying?

Here's what I got when I checked the installed add-ins.

COM Add-ins

============

MultiMgrAddIn.AddInDesigner1
Microsoft PowerPoint Presenter Tools
PptDTCW.Connect
Microsoft PowerPoint 2003 Template Wizard

Thanks.

Steve,
Thank you for the information. Actually, what helped the most was your link
to the instructions from Shyam Pliiai. Under the question "I cannot unload
my add-in", it talks about how to clear it from the registry. I did not find
it under the current user list, but did find it under the "local machine"
listings. I removed the key, and the error message no longer pops up.

I tried adding commands to the tool bar, but no add-ins were listed, even
though there is a second add-in installed that does not cause me any problems.

Thank you again.
