When upgrading to XP Home from 2nd edition 98, I get the
following message: If I continue installation, I will not
be able to access any of my compressed file information,
and something to the effect that XP does not support (?)
compressed file format. The files are compressed in a FAT
32 format.

I have two hard drives, one is compressed, one is not.

Help please.

Win98 has a tool called "DriveSpace." You have used it to compress some
files on your Win98 setup. DriveSpace will not work in WinXP, so you need
to run that tool from Win98 to decompress the files. Once that is done, you
can continue with the XP installation.
