VISTA KILLS CPU FANS

I HAVE OBSERVED THAT INSTALLING VISTA HOME PREM HAS CAUSED THE BIOS FAN
CONTROL SYSTEM TO FAIL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE CPU FAN AFTER VISTA
INSTALL RUNS AT ABOUT 800 RPM STEADLILY
NO MATTER THE VERY BAN INCREASED CPU HEAT FROM LOW FAN SPEED, NO AMOUNT OF
ENABLING OR DISABLING FAN AUTO CONTROL
OR ANYTHING ELSE IN THE BIOS WILL FIX THIS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
MANY OF YOU REPORTING BAD PREFORMANCE, SHUTDOWNS, BSD'S
MAY NOT BE AWARE THIS COULD BE THE CAUSE OF YOUR PROBLEMS...
ITS FRYING YOUR PROCESSOR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ON MY
SYSTEM THE FAN EVEN FAILS TO START UP AT ALL MANY TIMES OR
STARTS AND WHEN VISTA BEGINS TO SHOW ITS WINDOW THE FAN STOPS COMPLETLY
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THIS IS VERY VERY BAD FOLKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OPEN YOUR PC CASES...WATCH THAT CPU FAN ON START UP AND ALL THE WAY THRU
BOOTING UP TO THE DESKTOP..... DO THIS AT LEAST 5 TIMES.... IF YOU NOTICE
THAT THE FAN JUST DODDLES ALONG SPINNING VERY SLOWLY ( IT SHOULD BE ZOOMING)
OR IS INTERMITTENT OR FAILS TO RUN..... THERE IS THE CAUSE OF YOUR
PROBLEMS.... ALSO.... CHECK THE SECTION IN BIOS FOR CPU AND MB TEMPS...
WATCH THE TEMPS CHANGE AND WATCH THE CPU FAN SPEED CHANGE....BUT..!!! WATCH
YOUR CPU FAN...MAKE SURE IT IS ACTUALLY CHANGING SPEEDS....IF THE BIOS SAYS
THE SPEED IS GOING UP AND DOWN... BUT THE FAN JUST APPEARS TO STAY THE SAME
SLOW SPEED.... YOUVE BEEN WHACKED BY VISTA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TEMP SOLUTION TO THIS CRITICAL ISSUE..= MOVE THE CPU FAN WIRE TO ANOTHER FAN
TERMINAL ON YOUR MB .... AS I, YOU WILL NOTICE THE FAN ZZZZZZZOOOOOOOOMMMM
OFF AND YOUR BIOS TEMPS WILL COME DOWN FROM CRITICAL ZONE...
BEFORE MOVING THE WIRE... MY CPU (DUAL CORE 4800 AMD ) WAS AT 125 F
............MB WAS AT 110....... AFTER.......CPU AT 96.5 & MB AT 89F
............

ALL OF THIS TEMP AND FAN SYSTEM WORKED PERFECT UNDER XP PRO... SO YOU
JACKASS MORONS AT MICROSOFT DO NOT TRY TO TELL ME THAT ITS MY PC....

ITS A FRIGGIN ASUS A8N-32 SLI DELUX !!!!!!!!!!!! ITS THE MOST PROMINENT
AND STABLE MOTHERBOARD EVER FRIGGIN BUILT !!!!!!!!!!!

MICROSOFT... YOU NEED TO GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR AZZ...AND FIX THIS
IMMEDIATLY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YOU ARE FRYING AND KILLING HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF VIST PC OWNERS CPU'S
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IF YOU DONT ATTEND TO THIS IMMEIDATLY....AND LET US KNOW YOU ARE WORKING ON
IT.... I AM GOING TO SEEK CLASS ACTION LITIGATION STATUS AGIANST YOU FOR
IT....

DUMBASS MICROSOFT.... LINUX NEVER HAS THIS CRAP HAPPEN......

(snip all-caps, impossible to read post)

No, this is something unique to your hardware and the way you installed
Vista. Possibly you forgot to install chipset drivers. Of course if you
don't like Vista, don't use it. And Linux needs drivers just as much as
any other operating system. My Thinkpad ran much hotter with an earlier
version of SUSE than it did with XP Pro because the drivers weren't
optimized. A later version of drivers solved that issue.
