I have some installation/setup CD/DVD with programs/aplications I had
installed and running on my old PC with OS Win.2000 (Serv.Pack4). How to
install them on new PC with pre-installed Vista Home Perfect ?

Installing apps on Vista is no different than with Win2k.

Just double click on the installer or setup file

You should check to see if any of them are Vista compatible before trying to
install them. You can use the compatibility wizard to have a better chance
of installing them, and a far better chance of getting them uninstalled if
the install or program fails. Type compatibility in the Control Panel
search.

In the Install.exe, right click-go to Properties--Compatibility tab and
choose XP Compatible mode It may help. Also and .exe files created by the
Install.exe program should also be set to xpcompatibility mode.
