My new computer hard drive was installed to "E" and the
zip drive to "C". Will this be a major problem? Tried
to install a tax program recently and had to install it
to a disk because it only recognized "C".

Hi,

No, it's not a problem, and WinXP can run happily on any drive letter
designation. If you should decide to reinstall to correct it, remove the zip
drive first as having it connected is known to cause this issue.
