I have a Gateway GT5428 Desktop Computer running Windows Vista Home Premium.
Currently when I attach my Samsung T10 MP3 Player it opens up on the tool bar
'Installing Device Driver Software'. Then after a moment, it says 'Device
Driver Software Not Sucessfully Installed. Consult with your device
manufacturer for assitance.
MTP Device Failed.
Meanwhile, the MP3 charges. I opened device manager, and it has the yellow
exclamation point symbol next to it. It says 'This device cannot start. (Code
10)' I clicked Update the Driver and it stated that my drivers were up to
date.
I know that it is a Windows related problem becuase i have two other older
MP3's that i formerly used, They operated fine previously except for
instances which the same act occured but, later resolved itself. Yet recently
the computer comes up with the same error message for all of the MP3 Players.
I switched the USB cable from port to port. I checked all my ports & they
have the sufficiant power to operate and all are supposedly functioning
correctly according to the Device Manager.
Any Assitance Would Be Greatly Appreciated!
Thank You.
