To all,

Would love to find a fix for this annoying behavior from Windows XP Pro.

I have a Pentium 4 2.8ghz Dell Dimension 8300 that shipped with one Seagate
ST3120026AS 120 gb Serial ATA hard drive. After the box arrived, I started
it up and everything worked fine. I added a second Seagate drive (same as
one listed above), and I received the "Found New Hardward" box upon restart.

The wizard informed me:
"Cannot install this hardware.
There was a problem installing this hardware
ST3120026AS
An error occurred during the installation of this device.
The specified service does not exist as an installed service."

this happens upon every reboot.
Dell has been less than helpful- and have offered no fix as of yet.

Has anyone else encountered this issue, and resolved it? If so, I would
greatly appreciate any and all advice or fixes.

Thanks in advance for your felp.
