I get an installation lock up at the exact same spot.
It says 32 min remaining and Installing networks. The green part of the
progress bar is right under the capital "N" in Installing Networks
I have tried another installation cd.
I have replaced the HDD
I have replaced the IDE Cable.
I replaced the dvd reader.
I have tried a new power supply.
It locks up at the exact same spot every time.
I format each try and have run chkdsk as well no errors.
Help Pls.

There are two workarounds I know of. One is to get better drivers for your
Net card, making then available on a floppy or CD during setup. The other, of
course, is to get a different card.

I tried with another nic and no change. Is there a way to bypass? if not how
do I instal drivers, what is command path? never installed drivers while
installing OS, so not to sure how.
Or what about doing an X copy to set up from HDD? If so What is command path?

If you tried setup with two nics available, it is probable I am wrong in my
guess. If you 'hang' on setup, usually it's a hardware driver issue, but
obviously in your case, it's not the nic, as I inferred. My next try would be
some issue with the net connection. A cable, a plug, a workgroup name?

A lot of folks give up and do a 'clean' install, if an 'upgrade' fails. (You
didn't say what you are doing, in more instances than that one example)
