Installation/license problems

I had a hard disk crash, then got a new hard disk, and reinstalled
windows XP, and some other programs.

But two programs (so far) will not start. They install with no
problems, but will not start due to problems with the license. I can
install and run both of them on other computers in our network,
without problems.

One program has "license code", the other is connecting to a license
manager on the same computer.

I'm sorry that I'm not more specific, but have anyone experienced
similar things? Or know where I should start looking for solutions?

Emme, this sounds like something that you should take up with the tech
support for the software involved. It's not unusual for hard drive's to go
belly up and having to reinstall software. There should be some kind of
policy in place with the software companies to help you out with this. If
these programs were supplied by the computer manufacturer (OEM software
bundle), contact them instead.
