Hello.
I have had the following problem with every release of Windows Vista so far.
During installation, or actually at the end, during the final phase of
setup, the computer stops and displays the error message "Windows could not
prepare the computer to boot into the final phase of installation. To
install windows, restart setup."
My primary disk is RAID 0 and my secondary disk is not RIAD'ed. I have
tried to install to both disks, both via clean install from booting from the
DVD as well as upgrading or clean installing from Windows XP. I know my RAID
controller drivers are installed because setup can see all of my drives and
access them just fine. I have no idea what is causing this and have been
unable to test the OS on my primary computer, however it has installed fine
on my laptop and media center PC. If anyone has any ideas, please let me
know. It's driving me mad!
Thanks!
James
