Windows XP Installation error

there is an error that pops up when i try to install a specific program, namely that i get an access is denied (i am an admin) error when setup.exe is setting up (only for this particular program). this occured when a user profile crashed, and the main directory of the program was lost. is there a way to fix this?

Mathematica. I have already contacted their tech support, and they not really been helpful.
here is what i have done already:
cleared the registy of the keys and subkeys that they told me about.
cleared system32 of the .dll's that they told me about


tried to clear the fonts, it said that acsess was denied, but upon chaging the filename, it said it could not locate the file

is there anything else that could be the problem?
for the record, it gives me the error message before there are any options to do anything, while it is configuring setup.
