I jhust bought the Access2000 upgrade an I am getting an error that states that it can not install because it can not identify a qualifying product (sorry I could not remeber the exact word or error#

I have Office Standard XP for Students and Teachers installed on my computer. It has Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook. I bought the Access Upgrade becasue I was led to beleive it would work. The upgrade version is over $100 less than the program by itself. If I would have known this I would have bought the Professional version instead of the the standard version that came w/ access. Did the sales person lead me astray or am I doing some thing wrong?

Nicole,

AFAIK, you need a qualifying product that is *older than* Access 2000
(Access 97, Access 95 or, possibly, Access Version 2.0) in order to install
this Upgrade version.

Sales personnel are typically the last people I would trust to be
knowledgeable about the system or upgrade requirements for software. This
information, while in fine print, is normally found on the box containing
the software. If you do believe that you were misled by the sales person at
the store, repackage the software and take it back.
