Hello All,

I know what processor that I am going to be running so...

When I copy the cab file for that processor over to the ppc and run that cab
file will it do the following:

1) Install the application on the ppc
2) Install Sql Server CE
3) Install OpenNetCF
4) Install IPWorks
5) Install IPZip

I know that it will install the program but will I have to have a seperate
cab for each of the other programs that the main program needs to operate?

Thanks in advance,

That is what I suspected.

Thanks Chris.

Those will all be separate CABs. The CAB installer cannot do a "cab within
a cab".

Hello,

why not try Insall Shield? That can what you want as it seems and there
is a free eval. verison available.

Have a look at the PocketPC Installer at
www.PocketPCinstaller.com

This'll let you create one installer .exe that you run on your
device, and which contains all of your .cab files and other
files *compressed* within it.

It'll ALSO create a Desktop installer .exe, which runs on
your PC. This will copy the compressed files to your device,
then start installing them. Once again, everything is
wrapped up into one single compressed file. The only other
thing you need is a device connected via ActiveSync.

Two different ways of deploying your PocketPC apps, you
just need to choose which is more suitable for you.

Have a look at the website, it contains screenshots, a full
description and a 30-day eval version.
