I know you said the tests indicate no problem and through
tem you have audio, but check to see if every thing is
plugged in the way it supposed to and that you, or the
install, hasn't accidently muted your speakers. It makes
no sense that one program can access the sound output
blocked/disabled by another.
Find your volume window and check to see that the sliders
are in the correct place and that no required sections are
muted.
Maybe run through
www.papajohn.org to see if something
obvious pops up.
I don't think I can really pinpoint this, but,
If this were my problem, everything else appearing
correct, I think I would have to uninstall MM2 and see if
the audio came back. Make sure you turn the system off not
just restart after the removal.
If it does not come back you might try checking the device
manager to see if any devices have some indication there
is a problem.
If the audio comes back reinstall MM2 and see if the
problem returns. If it does go back into the device
manager to see if something has changed.
If it doesn't come back, you might want to restore your
system to a point prior to the install of MM2, starting
over and making sure every step is followed correctly.
Otherwise, if you don't know where to begin and unless you
get a better suggestion it would be good to have a
knowledgeable friend help you.
