i tried to install vista on my laptop, which is brand bew and everything is
good on it according to the check from microsoft and when it restarts during
the instalation it turns off when the boot screen is done loading. what the
hell

Turning off during the loading of the boot screen is indicative of a
hardware problem. The O/S has not taken over at that point. Did it really
turn off at the boot screen, or did it really get a little bit further on?

Yes it did turn off at the boot screen and i dont know if the windows logo is
supposed to appear also at the boot screen like xp but it did not, only the
scroll bar appeared and it scrolls for a few seconds then the omputer just
turns off

that is what most people wondering about. Because all the betas had that
screen, but as MS is claiming "that's how it should be,.." it saves a secon
don boot time ( which is nonsense - if there is a logo or none is pointless
to boot time ) .

So - yes this is official design - although it looks like error or
unfinished. But that feeling comes often in Vista rtm, not only in optic
candy .. ;)
