Hi Sajith,

If you are looking for instruction on creating an XPE
bootable CD they are here:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?
url=/library/en-us/dnxpembed/html/eltorito.asp

If you are wanting to create an image CD you will have to
use something like Symantecs GHOST. That is one of the
better imaging apps on the market. That is what I use all
the time to image my machines at work. Are these machines
going to be remotely installed or locally?

Hi,

It is going to be installed in a dedicated machine which
will carry only this image. So after creating the image i
would copy it onto a CD , take the CD and install the
image locally to all the target machines which would be at
the client. Is that posible ? Is the eltorito CD used only
to boot from the CD or can it be used to install it onto a
target machine ?

Thanks in advance,
Regards,
Sajith

Hi,

So if i create an image, which image do i clone ? Is it
the one before calling FBA or the one after calling it ?

thanks
Sajith

It would be the image after FBA has done the "reseal" step (don't let it
reboot after the reseal). However, you will still need Norton Ghost or an
equivalent program that will let you turn this image into some sort of image
file for the CD, and then restore that image to a disk partition on your
target systems. XPE provides the ability to create clonable images, but does
not include the tools to actually perform the cloning process.

Read one of the articles on cloning to understand what you have to include
in your image and how to control the resealing operation, etc.
