Hi Barbara,
EWF makes use of a reserved partition for its exclusive use. No way to use
this partition to store user data, but it's small, no more that some
megabytes.
So the disk should be partitioned with two partitions, one for XPE that is
going to be protected, one for user data unprotected and free room for the
EWF reserved partition.
If EWF is set to Ram Reg mode, no extra partition is used so the full disk
space is available.
