using NTFS it did it's thing and told me to reboot. It
started the reboot and now it just sits at the dos device
screen and won't go any further. What happened?

Yes, I did disable the virus protection and still does
not work.

not work.

Did you disable the mbr antivirus while you were installing? In other words,
during installation, not after the installation. Are you using a mass
storage controller? Is your hardware W2K compatible? Whats the size of the
hard drive and does your bios support 48-bit LBA?

.I disabled the Virus protection after I started
installing. I don't know what a mass storage controller
is. My hard drive is 120Gig. and assumed if the computer
detected the new hard drive as 120gig that all was good.
my hardware is W2k compatible.
