Hi,
I'm trying to remove my linux o/s and put windows back
onto my laptop. I have the lycoris linux distro and for
some reason, my win2k will not boot from cd. My best guess
is that the cd drive is mounted until the o/s is loaded. I
have already read the knowledge base article on removing
linux and installing windows and have still come up empty.
Any ideas on how to install windows from linux would be
very helpful.

Thanks

Why?

As far as I know, the CD boot-a-bility is not related to which o/s you
have installed on a hard drive, it's related to the BIOS.

Are you sure your boot sequence in the BIOS is set to "CD-ROM" as the
primary?
