I am trying to install a children's program from an
original CD onto a Win 2000 machine. The program was
written for Win 95/98. The install stops and the message
that "there is not enough free space on the hard drive
comes up". The program requires 200 MB and there is 16 GB
available on the hard drive. Any suggestions?? Please
email me direct as well as posting to newsgroup.
TIA
Vickie

The message applies to the partition, not the hard drive. There's a big
difference.

There's also a chance that the program installer is written to check for
either W95 or W98 and simply rolls over and plays dead (with a
misleading message; not all programmers are perfect) when it finds neither.

There's also an outside chance (not sure of this) that it's a paging
file size problem.
