Every time I try and install the HP Officejet 5510 onto my laptop with
Windows XP I get an error message that The specified port is unknown. Any
suggestions?

Did that 3 times already over the past 3 days. They sent me 2 patches that
didin't work and finally told me it's my USB drive. However I don't have
problems with any other hardware connected to the USB drives. I believe
there's a glicth with XP and HP.

Hi:
I recall that I had some 'bad' experience with one of HP representatives.

Afterwards, I called 'tech'/Hardware dept., tel.#: 1-800-752-0900 that
eventually helped me to resolve a solution.

Try to do the same if you're still having a problem.

Two All in Ones on the same PC is going to cause a headache whatever you do.
XP CANNOT support two scanners... and it really HATES two modems.

One of them will only ever be installed as a printer.... there isn't any way
at present to get around this. One All in One device and one other NON-All
in One device is a much better idea.

Hi:
On one of Chat-Sessions, I was told so when I mentioned about
two All-in-Ones in two different HP Pavillions.

However, in my case, there is NO conflict between two.
Just, more powerful printer, HP Photosmart 3310 All-in-One
taking over as to 'photo' related program. Other than that, I can
use two printers alternatively with ease. This is truly convenient
for me, due to a price of 'Cartridge.'
