Hi all,
Has anyone else run into problems installing Windows 2000
on this Via P4PB motherboard? I boot from the win2k
cdrom, and after I choose to format my drive, and then
setup starts to copy files over to the harddrive, I
repeatedly get messages saying that "file1.name" was not
copied correctly to the harddrive-- hit "enter" to try
again or "ESC" to skip this file. Hitting "enter" for the
first few times works fine. After a few though, I have no
choice but to skip those files because I could sit there
and hit "enter" for an hour, and the file will still not
be copied correctly. There isn't any specific file or
files that windows doesn't copy correctly. It's actually
random files from observation. If anyone has any insight
into this, please let me know.
This board has the following chipsets:
North Bridge- VIA Apollo P4X400
South Bridge- VT8235
Thanks,
Rock
