What would help me install netscape 7.1 which stalls when halfway through its
extraction. Something that would over-ride what may be impeding the
installation.

EEEEEEEK!..... what on earth would you want 'Net "what the heck is this"
Scape' for?

Much better browsers are;

www.mozilla.org

www.avantbrowser.com (my personal favourite)

FYI, if something is preventing the installation, it is normally best to;

a: make sure you are logged in with the correct privaleges
b: check you have no software running that could be blocking it (i.e.
antivirus or antispyware)
c: check you haven't bloekd it with third party util's

Netscape 7.1 is based on an older version of Mozilla. (i.e. Netsacpe is
essentially an older version of Mozilla with all the AOL bloat). It is
much better to get Mozilla instead. see www.mozilla.org

I had high hopes about Mozilla org but it did the same as Netscape and stalled
giving me the message of "Mozilla 5"
