Whn a Maxtor 300GB dirive is plugged in and all the others removed tried to
install Clean Windows Vista Business.

Have the drivers downloaded from the Promise site (Windows Vista
compatible). Request for drivers pops up after Install Now (no drivers
listed to install) and I browse to diskette and load drivers. Windows Vistal
Install loads driver with no complaint.

Drive shows up in the clean install Disk list but when I choose it and press
Next, I get the Windows cannot find suitable... message.

I need to use the Promise card for the LBA capability as my Mobo does not
support this.

Problem solved.

Replugged drive into Ulta TX133 Card and restared from DVD. At the Start
Install I hit shift-F10 and brought up command prompt. Using diskpart I
cleaned then created a primary partition on the whole disk.

Continuing the install, the partition was shown to select; once selected,
the clean install continued to completion after the necessary automatic
reboots.

Windows Vista Business is now showing the Drive as the C: drive with the
correct amount of GB.
