Hi guys,

As you can see in my signature I am not a pro on OL... but facing a problem.

I try to automate the install of OL 2003, and because a computer may have
more than 1 user, I need to create a PST such as
d:\PSTs\%username%\archive.pst.

It seems that the MST/MSI does not understand the variable and assume it is
a real string.

I wonder if you can advise me on this, I am stuck and this is the last thing
I have to do before finishing my project.

Thanks by advance guys.

Regards

As far as I'm aware the archive pst is created on the first use/instigation
of 'archive' within OL.
If you are able to create an archive pst you would still have to set the
archive properties to point to the correct location
just my two pennies

Can you export the .prf from the CIW and post the first 5 sections? Outlook definitely should recognize and expand %username% to create a new PST file in the desired location -- assuming that folder already exists. Maybe that's the problem? Does a folder actually exist there?
