I am trying to do the automated install using Group Policy for Office 2003.
I have created the MST file using the Resource kit and it is located in the
folder where all installation files are located and the MSI file is located.
However, when I go in GPO and add the Software installation policy for
computers, I do not get the option to select the MST file. It will only
allow me to pick MSI files. How do I get GPO to allow me to select mst
files? Or do I need to do this another way? I'm going to software
installation, then selecting new package. It is here where it will not allow
me to pick the mst file only msi files. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Just after you selected the MSI file, you're prompted whether you want
to publish, assign or advanced-install the package. You need to choose
"Advanced" there in order to get the "Modifications"-tab where you can
"Add..." your MST file to the package.

Add new Software by using "Advanced", then you can search for the
MSI and apply the MST in the same way.
After adding the MSI, you can not change it, the settings are greyed out.
