Whatever HP disks you have, they will not work on a Gateway PC
as they are likely to be licensed strictly for use on a HP PC.

| I have just bought a brand new computer from Gateway, it contains WinXP Pro
| SP2 and I have tried not only the original HP disks but the latest and
| greatest download from HP. It still will not install. after copy about 64%
| of the files it stops with this window popup that says Setup Error: the
| installation has caused a severe error which requires the system to be
| rebooted. restart and try reinstalling.
|
| I have not found anything on the HP website, can you suggest anything
| further that I try?
