install Epson Perfection1260 scanner

I have converted from ME to EX (with Service Pack 1a) on
Nov 15/03. The software doesn't want to "take".
Messages:"install error 2147024891, cannot install
PDA;PIM;etc. How can i connect my scanner. (It installed
on the ME ) Thanks

Download the correct XP drivers from the Epson website at www.epson.com

This is not a driver issue, this is an install shield issue with the
installation of the Smart Panel software. There is a resolution, you
need to download and install a patch from Microsoft. All details can
be found on www.newsoftinc.com.
