A friend of mine has been getting the BSOD on setup and we figured out it
was because of his SATA drive (disconnected it). Is there a way around
this or do we have to do an IDE install for Vista?

Hi David,

You may need to load a SATA driver prior to starting setup, check with the
system manufacturer for a current version.

David was talking about me. Unfortunately both my SATA HD and my IDE HD are
critical to my small business. while the SATA has most of the important
information that i need and many of the programs that i use the IDE has the
majority of programs installed for the XP OS that is still on the SATA. I
have the most up to date drivers for my SATA, and now I have Vista installed
on my IDE HD, but i can't have the SATA connected at all to run Vista, and
now i can't format the IDE to get Vista off. Does anyone have any other
suggestions?
